Sometimes you look in a field and you see a cow and you think it’s a better cow than the one you’ve got in your own field. It’s a fact, right, and it never really works out that way. It’s probably the same cow and it’s not as good as your own cow.

I prefer the other.

Considering I’m back in the fine blogosphere, I thought it would be a good opportunity to mention one of the bands of the year for me - O Children and to persuade you to give their self named album a listen. Often referred to as ‘over-rated’ but I’m not sure how that’s apparent as they’ve not quite made day time radio unlike some of the dross coming from guitar music these days. My point is, just listen and judge for yourself. I think they’re really great but you might not. Fair enough.

After many months of um’ing and ahh’ing, I finally purchased a ticket for the world’s most famous festival.

I am excited about Glasto as I haven’t been before but I’m not fond of camping and/or being smelly. So pack the dry shampoo, deodorant and some cds - not into listening to Nick Grimshaw mix tapes all the way down.

My Brixton Academy cherry was popped for the 2010 NME Awards. A night filled with tight jeans, no-need glasses and expensive ale. Check it, Channel 4 or E4 tonight.
